Painted Desert 04: This shows off the red soil in some parts of the Painted Desert.  Photo taken just north of Interstate 40 on Painted Forest Road.

Aperture: f/4

ISO: 200

Other points of interest in the area (not pictured ) include:

"Standin’ on the Corner" Park which is located in Winslow.  The park celebrates the song "Take It Easy" by Glenn Frey and Jackson Browne.  "Take It Easy" became a hit by The Eagles in the 1970s, and includes a reference to Winslow.

Meteor Crater which is located to the west of Winslow on Interstate 40. The Meteor Crater is the result of an astroid impact about 50,000 years ago.  There is also a  museum at the site.

"Bucket of Blood Street".  Yes, this is actually the name of a street.  There is nothing unique about the street, except the name.  "Bucket of Blood Street" is located in Holbrook, Arizona.  As the Story goes, the street (and the saloon on the street) got their nicknames as a result of a gunfight over a poker game in the 1880's.  The result of the gunfight was "a bucket of blood" on the saloon floor.  The saloon is no longer there, but the street remains.
