The Mission San Jose was founded in 1720.   In 1794 the mission was turned over to the Native Americans who occupied the area at the time (the Coahuiltecan people).  Mission activities ended in 1826.  After that, the mission had a variety of inhabits including, soldiers, homeless,  and bandits. (source:  Wikipedia)

Today the mission is one of four missions in the San Antonio Missions National Historic Park.

Mission San Jose is still an active church.  Pictures of the church interior are prohibited without permission.

This page includes photos from two of the missions in the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park. The two not shown are Mission San Juan and Mission Espada.  The Alamo was also a mission, but is not part of the National Historic Park.

According to the National Park Service, Mission Concepcion was dedicated in 1755 and "is the oldest unrestored stone church in America".  (source nps, gov)  The information on Wikipedia indicates that some repair of the artwork was done a couple of times.  The artwork on the ceiling and walls was restored by experts in 1988.  The Archdiocese of San Antonio completed another restoration in  2012 which exposed some of the frescoes in the sanctuary (source: Wikipedia).
